Jessica Backaus
I enjoy Jessica Backaus's photography for it's simplistic style and it's documentary/narrative emotion.
Tex Bishop
We I like about Tex Bishop's photography is the documentary feel of each of his photographs. My favorite images of his are the first and second photos. I love these photos for the warm tones in lighting in each of them. I also like the centered composition of both as well. My favorite aspect of the first photograph individually is the position of the woman. My favorite aspect of the second is the design on the flowers and the way they move out from the center.
Heather Evans Smith
I enjoy Heather Evan's Smith's photography for her cinema-like influences and her use of color paired together to create very surreal narratives. My favorite photo is the second one. I love this photo for the sentimental aspect of them and the use of muted pinks.
Suzanne Revy
Suzanne Revy's photographs all have very strong lightings and uses of time. The photo series provided above detail the nostalgia and hesitance she has as her children grow out of their adolescence. My two favorite photographs are photos 6 and 7. I love the reflections in the window of photo 6 and the warm off-white over cast the photograph has. My favorite aspect of photo 7 is the shining of the light and the childish fingerprints all over the windows.
Melissa Kreider
Melissa Kreider has a beautiful use of narrative in her photograph. I like how she uses design, color, and light. My favorite photographs are photos one, three, five, and seven. My top favorite is photo one. I like the use of light in this photo the most and the way it hits the window so strongly.
