Photo Series
What time of day did you take your photograph?
This series includes a variety of photos taken in the mid-afternoon (photo two), sunset (photo one), and night time (photo three). Throughout shooting, my main focus point was lighting. The lighting in both my first and third photo are very literal. My first photo had the sunlight positioned in the center of the photograph and slightly reflecting of the candle holder. My third focuses on the lights shining on signs, headlights, and through the windows of the convenience store. However, the second photo includes a more conceptual portrayal of light as is pools in through the windshield and fills the car. This photo is one of my favorites because of the way the light reaches over my dads face, torso, and headrest before finally fading into black. Compositionally, the first, second, and third photo all are pretty centered. However, the third photo includes an interesting aspect of leading lines with the positioning of signs, the angle of the convenience store, and the movement of the car.
